What is the festival about
Ever wondered who hosts the biggest student run ale festival in the country? Of course you have, well now you have your answer, it's the Warwick University Real Ale society. Now in its 40th year we're back, brightening up those term two blues with over 120 cask ales, 50 ciders, fruit wines and meads, an international beer bar, returning for 2019 a keg bar, an extensive range of society collab brews, hog roast, and live entertainment over three wonderful nights. There really is something for everyone, so this February get ready and keep an eye out for news because this festival is going to be bigger and better than ever! |
Beer List
Our crack exec team scour the country for the finest real ales imaginable from old society favourites to new brews from exciting local breweries, and an international beer bar with the finest beers from the far corners of the Earth. With so many fabulous beers to chose from, the only problem is working out where to start...

Cider and Wines
Our cider bar is fully stocked with an impressive selection of Lilley's Somerset ciders. From the traditional to the unusual there's something for every taste.
We also have an extensive range of delicious fruit wines, and, four different types of mead - can you feel the need? The need four mead! |
Society BrewsIn 2017 we were delighted to debut our first collaborative festival brews made by our fine exec with the assistance of some of our favourite local breweries. Now, we are expanding even further working with almost a full bar of collabs planned for our 40th Festival!
On top of this we also have our commercially brewed recipe, Third Degree, a black IPA made in association with Slaughterhouse Brewery. |
Get Involved Want more, then why not consider volunteering?
As a server at our festival you'll get exclusive access to our private tasting night, free entry to the festival, a free (and stylish) WURAS rugby shirt, and an invite to our legendary tour in term three. If that's not enough, you'll also learn how to properly keep beer and meet some great people. |
